Jan. 11 (UPI) — Not less than two officers of the U.S. Capitol Police have been suspended and at the very least 10 extra are below investigation for his or her actions through the violent mob takeover of the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday, a U.S. congressman stated Monday.

Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio, who chairs the Home Appropriations subcommittee dealing with the investigation, stated authorities are investigating whether or not officers of the Capitol Police collaborated with the pro-Trump demonstrators who mobbed the Capitol.

One officer suspended was captured on video posing for a selfie with a rioter. One other officer “put a MAGA hat on [and] began directing some folks round,” Ryan stated in a Zoom press name.
